Last year my friend and colleague Jessica Vecchione asked me if wanted to lead a painting trip for a week in her ‘home town’ of Vallo di Nera, in Umbria, Italy. She had recently bought a house there. Of course I said yes! So in September. myself, and 6 students (including one husband) flew to Rome where Jessica and her partner Gary picked us up and drove us to Umbria. It was fantastic all around. We painting all over the medieval walled village every day, had some amazing meals, took trips to Spoleto and Assisi, where we saw the Giotto’s.
